May 25th, 5-7 pm
Radisson Blu MOA
On September 16, 2017 local design teams will come together at the rotunda in the Mall of America to do their part to creatively conquer hunger while participating in Canstruction’s® global cansculpture® competition. If you are interested in getting a team together from your firm, please feel free to contact us for additional information and materials.
Canstruction® Minneapolis benefits Second Harvest Heartland by pulling together design professionals within the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry to design and build cansculptures® using non-perishable food items. Cansculptures® will be judged by prominent members of the AEC industry and community.
Canstruction® is a unique charity which hosts competitions, exhibitions and events showcasing colossal structures made out of full cans of food. After the structures are built, the cansculptures® go on display to the public as a giant art exhibition. At the end of the event, all food is donated to local hunger relief organizations.
The 2017 event is chaired by Westwood Professional Services.
